One of the greatest game parks in the world
Site of an amazing wildlife spectacle
The Serengeti National Park is one of the greatest game parks in the
world: over 14 763km² of wind-swept, grassy plains, home to of
the world's largest game populations. There are over 35 species of
plains-dwelling animals like antelope and zebra and predators like
lion and cheetah are easily spotted.
The birdwatching is terrific too, but it is during the Great Migration
- roughly between June and November, that most tourists come to the
Serengeti. Seeing the migration of up to two million wildebeest and
zebra across the plains, searching for better grazing, is an amazing
sight and said to be of he world's greatest wildlife spectacles.
